Hello!
I am a multidisciplinary artist, with a focus in printmaking. I work with etching and serigraphy primarily, but have knowledge and experience in photoplate and stone lithography. In my printmaking practice, my subjects are typically architectual, gravitating toward abandoned and forgotten spaces. In some work, I bring surrealism into my pieces, combining images to create a new imaginative work. Aside from printmaking, I am a painter and drawer. I also have experience in glass blowing and ceramics.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
One of my mentors would always say "You don't take French class if you already know how to speak French" in response to students feeling discouraged in art class. This is something that I resonate with strongly. Too often do students give up in the art room because they don't get it first try, or even worse, they compare their skill to those around them. My students will walk into a room where trial and error is encouraged. Students will leave my classroom with the understanding that art is not something you're just good at, it's a skill that takes a lot of hard work and dedication. I have dedicated my life to art, so much so, that I have chosen to spread my knowledge and love for it to others. I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes and taking the proper steps toward learning how to fix them. As an educator, it is my job to build their knowledge and confidence in art, and in life in general. The art room has always been a safe environment for myself as a student, and I will make certain to maintain that as an educator.
